The Witcher producer teases next anime: “The source is entirely from Sapkowski”
By Gravemaster in Reporton December 14, 2021One commentThe second season of Netflix’s The Witcher is fast approaching, but there are many more adventures in the pipeline in the Witcher Cinematic Universe as there’s Blood Origin, that family-friendly series and the next anime project.
Speaking to Naekranie, TheWitcher executive producer TomekBaginski confirmed the start of the work on the next i anime: “We’re at a fairly early stage, I’ve recently read the first draft”.
Baginski also teased a tiny bit about the story: “It is based on one of the stories we know from the world of The Witcher, so the source is entirely from Sapkowski books, but which story I would prefer to keep a secret.”
In an earlier interview from the Season 2 press junkets, showrunner Lauren Hissrich confirmed that this next anime film will not be a continuation of Nightmare of the Wolf and will not be following Vesemir, but rather some other side characters from the saga.
